Who is Lora Short?
Lora Short is the owner and founder of 7 Maple Design. She started the company in February of 2018. Her work primarily focuses on residential spaces and à la carte design services, and her passion is creating unique design choices that translate a client's vision into reality.
She has always had a passion for antiques, design and creating beautiful spaces. Through 7 Maple Design, Lora has been able to channel creative energy to help clients achieve their design needs while putting out a high quality product.

No. À la carte design has been part of the business since it started. That can be a single room, a paint and material direction, or a furniture plan you carry out yourself.
What happens at the free consultation?
A conversation about the space, what is not working, and what you want it to become, along with a realistic view of scope and timeline before anyone commits.
Do you take commercial projects?
Yes. The work is primarily residential, but commercial projects are welcome. Get in touch with the details and we will tell you honestly whether it is a fit.
When should I bring in a designer?
As early as you can. Decisions about layout, plumbing locations and lighting are far cheaper to make on paper than after demolition has started.
