What information do you need from me to get started?
Photos of the space, rough dimensions if you have them, your budget range, your timeline, and a sense of how the room needs to function day to day.
What should I do before I call a designer?
Save images of rooms you like, note what specifically appeals to you in each, and write down what is not working about your current space. Have a rough budget and a rough timeline in mind, even if both are loose.
Do I need a designer, or can I just do this myself?
Plenty of people handle a single room on their own. A designer earns their keep when the decisions get expensive or hard to reverse, like a kitchen layout, a whole-home furniture plan, or a renovation with a contractor involved.
Do you work on one room or only whole homes?
I work with single spaces or homes as a whole. Kitchens, primary baths, and living rooms are the most common single room projects.
